Early life and education

Donald John Trump was born on June 14, 1946, in Queens, New York City, to Frederick Christ Trump, a real estate developer, and Mary Anne MacLeod. He attended the Kew-Forest School in Forest Hills, Queens, and later graduated from the New York Military Academy in 1964. Trump then attended Fordham University for two years before transferring to the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in economics in 1968.

Business career

After graduating from college, Trump began working for his father's real estate development company. He later founded his own company, The Trump Organization, which focused on real estate development and management. Trump became known for his luxurious properties and his celebrity status, which he leveraged to further his business interests. He also expanded into other industries such as entertainment, running the Miss Universe pageant, and owning various golf courses and resorts.

Political career

Trump's political career began in 1987 when he registered as a Republican. He considered running for president in 2000, but ultimately decided not to. In 2011, he briefly registered as an Independent before returning to the Republican party. Trump announced his candidacy for president in 2015, and despite facing controversy throughout his campaign, he won the Republican nomination and went on to defeat Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election. Trump served as the 45th president of the United States from January 20, 2017 to January 20, 2021.

Throughout his career, Trump has been involved in numerous controversies. Some of the most notable include allegations of sexual misconduct, racist and sexist remarks, and his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic as president. He was also impeached twice by the House of Representatives, but acquitted both times by the Senate.
